You've arrived at the home of "The 3 Sentence Movie, TV, Video (and more) Review." Here you'll find my opinion on what's new in movie theaters, on television, what's out on video, DVD -- both old and new -- and more (for example, I've reviewed Turkey -- not the food, the country). !

As always, I want to hear what you think about what I think (so email me). Tell me if you agree or disagree with my take on things, or, tell me if you think I've finally lost it. Also, feel free to pass along this Web site address to your friends (and enemies). And, remember -- save me the aisle seat!!

Being John Malkovich
Absolutely brilliant. How this movie, which is about a portal on the 7 1/2 floor of a New York office building that allows people to enter the mind and body of John Malkovich for 15 minutes before being deposited on the Jersey turnpike, ever got made is beyone me. Suffice to say, if you want to see something onscreen that you've never seen before, that will leave you speechless (despite) the fact that you NEED to talk about it, THEN SEE THIS MOVIE!!!

The Green Mile
3 hours and 8 minutes of great film. What is it about Stephen King and prison movies he's written, like the superb Shawshank Redemption?? The acting is top notch, the cinematogrphy is superb and, best of all...you almost wish it lasted a little longer.

StarQuest
What if William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy or Patrick Stewart were being observed from a galaxy far, far away by spacefaring beings at war and the Star Trek shows they were receiving through space appeared to them as historical records, as opposed to entertainment...especially if those spacefaring beings were losing the war? Well, they'd beam up Capt. Kirk, Picard, Scotty, etc, to help save their race. The fact that the "show" StarQuest subs for Star Trek is of no consequence and neither do the actors who portray the Trek counterparts....the bottom line is they are beamed from a geek infested sci-fi convention to actually save the universe...and you get some big laughs in the meantime from this very well done film.

Friends - Season Finale
This was another stellar year for the TV show Friends. Very funny writing and acting by a great cast, culminating in this one hour season finale. Everyone's in top form and the surprise wedding that ends the episode makes you wonder -- and look forward -- to next season's opening episode!

Mad About You - Series Finale
What a freakin' shame! This was one of the best series on TV at one point and it went down the toilet SO quickly, it made your head spin. The series' finale, taking place 25 years or so in the future, is a look back by Jamie and Paul Buchman's daughter, Mabel (one of the series' biggest mistakes -- both the baby and then the name!) and how her parents turned her into this neurotic mess.....the plug should have been pulled on this one years ago.
